This was taken after it had been snowing for about 2 hours....we ended up with 15 1/2 inches.  The forecast is calling for more snow this afternoon.   Interstate 81 southbound was shut down due to the storm.  Graduation ceremonies for Radford University were canceled; however, the ceremonies for Virginia Tech took place as planned.

Yikes. I'm glad I am in Florida right now.  Looks like Alexandria is going to get clobbered too.

Tina,

I'm in Maryland, and I bet a lot more people are on the internet this weekend because of the weather. You can only go out to play for so long before it gets too cold.

It's a good day to read the Cat in the Hat. "Too cold to go out and play..."

The whole area is getting crushed.  We are getting close the 15 inch mark and it's still coming down like crazy.

Hey you fellow Virginians, come on down to Florida!

Wow, how can I complain today with 78 degree weather? I love when it snows sunshine!

Wow.  The East has really gotten hammered.  Luckily, we only got a dusting in our area.  Looks like you'll be digging-out for days to come.  Ouch.

That looks cold!! I have only been in snow like that a couple of times in my life and never in the last 40 years. I think I'd like to see it for a day or two.

Tina - just have some fun in the snow and make the most of the situation.  By now you are probably dug out but hopefully you had some fun with the snow.

Make some nice snow angels for Christmas.  Huge selling point for your listings.
