It's Christmas in SEO Land Today!

I am one lucky girl and so are my sellers today!  Classifiedflyerads (aka Santa) came for a visit and left all kinds of SEO "gifts" under my tree!

I always knew Misty, Candis and the wonderful elves out in Grover Beach, California (aka The North Pole) worked tirelessly to optimize my online flyers, but today, I was blown away!

Here's my first email:

Hello Tina,

We are happy to inform you that your ClassifiedFlyerAds.com flyer is showing up on the 1st page of Google for search phrase Affordable Homes in Portsmouth VA

and the second:

We are happy to inform you that your ClassifiedFlyerAds.com flyer is showing up on the 1st page of Google for search phrases.....

here's the third:

Hello Tina,

We are happy to inform you that your ClassifiedFlyerAds.com flyer is showing up on the 1st page of Google for search phrases....

Our search engine optimization team optimizes flyers so they achieve high search engine rankings. When flyers make it to the top of search engines we like to share the great news.

I made myself some lunch and came back to find this in my email:

Hello Tina,

We are happy to inform you that your ClassifiedFlyerAds.com flyer is showing up on the 1st page of Google for search phrases....

New Construction Homes in Chesapeake Virginia
Great Bridge VA Property

Colonial built homes in Chesapeake VA

Next, I took some time to email my sellers and let them know how hard I was working for them by forwarding them these emails!  After I did that, I had this email:

Hello Tina,

We are happy to inform you that your ClassifiedFlyerAds.com flyer is showing up on the 1st page of Google for search phrases......

Affordable Homes in Chesapeake Virginia

More to still come!!   :)

I have heard of classified ad flyers...is it just one more thing to enter into the computer though?

Tina,

An early Christmas?  Glad Santa's been good to you...the ad looks great!  Continued success!

Tina, I started looking at their site today. I have a question, if you use Vflyer, and Point 2 to create flyers, and it looks like they syndicate to the same sights is it a duplication? or is their programming more effective?

I don't want to duplicate my efforts but want the best SEO possible for my sellers.

Posted by Missy Caulk-Ann Arbor-RealtorĀ® Ann Arbor Real Estate (Keller Williams-Ann Arbor) over 3 years ago

Missy - I also use Point2 and VFlyer as well.  I believe the SEO is better at CFA and the emails they send to inform me are well worth the cost of my membership (since I use more than the 2 Free flyers they offer).  If you use the code, "Activerain" - you get 20% single flyers, monthly memberships or yearly memberships.  (My 25 flyers came out to $8/month!).

Michelle - Thank you so much for your kind words!

Vicki - I'm glad you have also had a positive experience!

Konnie - once you get the hang of it, it takes less than 5 minutes to enter a flyer.  Well worth it in my opinion for the SEO.

Misti - thanks for my early Christmas!

Susan and Shelia - thank you for the kind words!

Woo hoo! That's awesome Tina :) I can't take the credit though, we have a super star in the office (Amber) who gives member flyers the SEO TLC ;)  Plus, it looks like you know how to title your flyers effectively for search engines... that always helps! Keep it up girl!

That is very nice to hear. I have a basic account with them. But I definitely going to be upgrading to standard so that when I put ads online it will be indexed in search engines. You should put this post on your twitter page through Active Rain. Congratulations to you Tina. Great post.

Steve - thanks for passing it along!

Candis - Amber is incredible!  Thank you so much for all you do!

Sandy - thanks so much for the compliment!  You're awesome!

Justin - you know....you can also advertise services on CFA.  Yo9u may want to check it out!

That's all great, but you won't be there in less than 15 days. Blog achieved page one placement needs to be constantly maintained, and unless you repeat those flyers every 7 days or so, the short term is nice, but it is exactly that: short term.

Posted by mike parker over 3 years ago

Hello Mike - the length of the placement varies.  Sometimes flyers only place for a few days, other times they place for weeks or longer.  You are correct though, that the more often you create flyers, or blog posts for the matter, the better chances you will be present in the top of search engines.  Fresh, quality, relevant content helps.

Thah is great! But, you would be FAR BETTER off with the property listing on YOUR SITE showing up in the search engines. Plus, if you check the popularity of these 'long tail' keywords you will see (at least for the few I checked) that they generate so little search traffic that they do not even show up as worth the time to optimize for!

Sorry to be the Grinch, but who really cares about a page one placement that may generate less that a dozen searches a month?

Judi - interesting way to promote your own service on someone elses blog post.  You might want to fix your AR blog first though before you point people over to it.  As for the long tail keywords not bringing in enough traffic to make it worth it; well if you have 5 long tail keyword searches that each bring in 50 visitors per month then that would result in 250 leads.  I don't want to speak for Tina, but from what I have seen she does place her listings on her own blog and website and she actually ranks very well.  A single website or domain can only grab so many spots in the top of Google though, so using other services to capture more of those first 10 spots will bring more eyes and leads to your services and products.

Targeted marketing that brings in less quantity but more quality traffic is better then generic keyword marketing that may bring in more traffic, but less conversion.

Wow that is wonderful and great also a great plug for them because now I am goign to go check them out. The next two months for me are about planning and starting for 2009. Bye bye anything not related to the web.

Posted by Heather the Realtor - Orlando, Lake Mary First Time Home Buyers, Bank Owned Homes (RE/MAX Central Realty) over 3 years ago

Judi - Promoting your own site on someone else's blog is well....just rude.

Misty - thanks for addressing those items promptly.  You are right in that I do promote my listings on as many sites as my fingers can type.  Exposure is exposure.

Orlando and Lake Mary - good luck in your planning for 2009 and thanks for the reminder that I am supposed to be doing the same thing this week!
